Method of use
A suction connecting tube and cannister are connected (see appropriate datacards) to a suction source. The distal end of the connecting tube is secured to the catheter. Foreign matter and pulmonary secretions are removed from the respiratory pathways by advancing the catheter into the oropharynx or trachea directly or through an endotracheal or tracheostomy tube. Suction is applied and the catheter is gently rotated whilst being withdrawn. Suction is controlled using a vacuum control device attached to the connecting tube.
