Description
Non woven gown with reinforced front panel and full wrap around. The gown possesses elasticated cuffs and sleeves which may also be fabric reinforced for added protection. The gown may also possess either velcro strips, press studs or ties around the neck and fabric ties to secure the gown at the back. Hand towels must also be provided.

Method of use
A circulating member of the theatre staff with non sterile hands removes the gown from the packaging and assists the surgeon to don the gown. The surgeon with gloved hands, passes thetie card (with fabric ties attached) to the circulating member who passes it around the back of the surgeon and brings it to his left side. The tie card is removed and the surgeon then ties the gown thus providing a full wrap around to ensure full back coverage. The velcro strips, press studs or ties are adjusted around the neck accordingly.
The gown provides a barrier to prevent cross infection between non-sterile clothing and prepared operating areas. The reinforced front and sleeves also provide extra protection to prevent strike through of contaminated fluids.
